Though it’s the base model of the 2011 Buick Lucerne, the CX is quite a fancy vehicle. The stereo is capable of MP3 playback, and is augmented by an AUX input jack and a USB port in the center console. All of the rearview mirrors are auto-dimming to protect your eyes from exceedingly bright reflections. The CX also has a powerful 227-horsepower V6 engine capable of running on regular gas or 85% ethanol fuel. 6-way power-adjustable front seats are another luxurious add-on that comes standard on the CX. 
In addition to the features on the CX, the 2011 Buick Lucerne CXL adds a Bluetooth interface for hands-free calling. It also has dual-zone temperature control, with air vents for the rear seats, too. A universal home remote is perfect for garage-door-opening, and has 3 available channels. Leather-appointed 8-way power front seats and a heated leather steering wheel with redundant audio controls are standard, too. And finally, there’s a cargo net in the trunk to keep important objects from rolling around. 
The CXL Premium lives up to its name. It upgrades the CXL’s 6-speaker audio system to 9 speakers, for instance. It also comes with the “Driver Confidence Package,” which includes a content theft alarm system, a remote vehicle starter system, and ultrasonic rear parking assist. On top of this, a lane departure warning system alerts you if you happen to drift out of your lane. And, with Side Blind Zone Alert, radar-equipped sensors check your blind spots for other cars. When there’s a car in your blind spot, a small icon on your rearview mirror is illuminated. If you activate the turn signal, the icon will flash to warn you that there’s a vehicle in the way. 
This trim of the 2011 Buick Lucerne is quite appropriately named. It upgrades the CXL Premium’s engine to a V8 which produces a stunning 292 horsepower.
